There is a wealth of young musical talent in the Kaipātiki community – but all too often it is missing out on public exposure. Kaipātiki Sounds Great set out to celebrate this talent, with a school-based festival on May 23 and 24, during NZ Music Month.
May 24th represents the culmination of this event, in an incredible creative showcase of young musicians across a huge variety of styles and genres.
This event is produced in partnership with Kaipātiki Community Facilities Trust, and supported by Youth Arts New Zealand.
Performances included from Northcote College, Birkenhead College and Glenfield College.
